The Grand Finale!!- Patagonia Day 6

We were so lucky with our trip to Patagonia. We had the best weather possible. It would rain in the morning, and we would think, "Well, I guess our luck has finally run out. But we've had 3...4...5... days of puffy white clouds and blue clouds, so it's fine." and then, by the time we arrived at our first sightseeing destination, we'd be back to the weather they must have in heaven. It was the perfect backdrop for every photo, and by itself made the money worth it. What a lovely trip. I would recommend it to anyone.

This is Fuerte Bulnes. It was used by the first settlers of these here parts because they could see the harbor and tell if there were any ships coming to attack them. And then later the women and children lived there, but they started using it as a jail, so they made Punta Arenas for their families. So... yeah.

These are actually the original buildings. They are made of adobe bricks, and they have survived all these years.

the 3rd church I visited in Patagonia.

Even though we're in Patagonia, this is the half way point of Chile. Including the part of Antartica that we have. The flag on the left is the flag of this region.

these are little adorable relatives of the dolphin. (I can't remember the name) We spotted them on the bus on the way to the airport. It was an amazing surprise way to end our trip!! Photo cred- Martin Consolini. Mine didn't turn our as good.

It was great having a cloudless sky, because we got to see Los Torres de Paine, sky view!!

This one looks like Indiana. Welcome home, to the Sur de Chile!!
